Yes! To Cookies Review

Zero Gluten! Zero Sugar! Zero Starch! Zero Worries!

Yes! To Cookies is a company that was started by a man's quest to create an option that didn't raise the blood sugar of his diabetic wife.  The result was an all natural, tasty, carb calorie-free cookie.

Yes! To Cookies' products are:
Gluten free
Casein free
Low carb
High in fiber
Sweetened with Stevia

If you are diabetic, regulating your blood glucose levels, following a low-carb diet, or following a glycemic index diet, these are for you! There are zero grams on digestible carbohydrates, zero grams of sugar, zero net carbs, and zero glycemic index.

I (try to) follow a glycemic index diet, and the hardest part for me is forgoing dessert and sweet snacks. I also try to avoid artificial ingredients, especially artificial sweeteners. Yes! To Cookies are sweetened with erythritol (an easily-digestible sugar alcohol) and Rebaudioside A (a fancy name for Stevia, a plant-derived sweetener).

I was able to try the baked cookies in Cocoa-Licious and Strawberry-Banana Blitz. I opened the Strawberry-Banana Blitz and I immediately smelled a rich scent of bananas and strawberries. It reminded me of the smell of my favorite smoothie shop - yum! The taste was just as good as the scent. They were full of flavor, just sweet enough, and perfectly chewy. There was no chalky or artificial taste at all. The recommended serving is 2, but I ended up eating four. I didn't feel bad about it at all though, with only 80 calories, no net carbs, and 5 grams of fiber.

The next day I decided to try the Cocoa-Liscious. I'm so into chocolate, so I was really excited to try these. They had a really strong cocoa flavor. They're definitely not as sweet as most prepackaged cookies, but I don't like overly sweet foods anyway. These would be great if you like more of a semi-sweet chocolate taste. They weren't as chewy as the strawberry banana, and were a bit dry for me. The next day I decided to pop them in the microwave for a few seconds, and that helped a lot. My favorite was when I whipped up some cream (no sugar) and put a dollop (read: gigantic spoonful) of it on some heated cookies. For the rest of them I had some grand plans of making a low-carb trifle or cheesecake with them, but I went with the "eat one whenever I wanted to shove something sweet in my mouth" route.

Yes! To Cookies are great for so many people, including those who just want to watch their weight and overall health. You can buy a convenient 8 oz package of baked cookies for $9.95 or you can bake your own at home with their 16 oz cookie mixes at $15.95 (on sale from $18.95!). The baked cookies would make a great guilt-free dessert option for you holiday guests. And how nice would it be to bake a package yourself as a quick Christmas present for someone who monitors their sugar intake? Make sure you pick up some extra for yourself though!

You can purchase Yes! To Cookies products online at www.yestocookies.com or by calling 877-TRU-ZERO. They can also be found at several Austin, TX area retailers.

I was not compensated for this post. I received a gratis sample of the products to review. All opinions are my own.
